Raising Awareness for Human Trafficking

Our young people do not know the dangers of human trafficking.

Children & teens are common targets of human trafficking, but they are unaware of this threat and what to look out for. The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) states that youth who suffer from depression, isolation, are a member of a minority group, or who lack adult supervision are most vulnerable to becoming victims of human trafficking. There are numerous ways to take preventative measures and offer support to victims/survivors, including advocacy, support groups, legal intervention, and use of child protective services.
